3-days, hands-on training program, where we focus on the scientific examination of iron gall ink using both imaging and spectroscopy techniques. Each day will consist of six hours of in-depth, practical learning, where participants will not only gain theoretical knowledge but also actively engage in real-time analysis. This course is highly practical, giving you the opportunity to work directly with the advanced equipment of the CHSOS lab.
Scientific Methods for Art Examination
This training program provides a comprehensive introduction to all the methods utilized in our Art Analysis Service. Focusing on pigments and colored artworks, ranging from easel to wall paintings, this 3-day course will give participants an understanding of the most important techniques used in art examination and conservation.
