Our New InGaAs camera

We just added a new InGaAs camera to our equipment. We replaced the glorious Indigo Merlin, with a brand new Xenics Bobcat GigE. This camera has the usual 320×254 pixel matrix, as the camera that we used before. The reason we replaced it is its much compact size. For our traveling service, both for analysis and training programs, saving space is quite important.

The small new InGaAs camera is a much better fit for panoramic infrared reflectography.

The Xenics Bobcat 320 has the same amount of pixels as the Merlin Indigo System but packed in a much smaller sensor. This results in a higher crop factor and, therefore, magnification.
