RTI experts in Cyprus

CHSOS was invited to deliver a talk on how Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI)  is applied for art documentation.RTI is a relevant part of the imaging documentation services in particular when it comes to prints and paintings examination. As part of the LinkSCEEM-2 Project, The Cyprus Institute in collaboration with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and the University of Illinois planned a workshop, June 3-5, 2014, on Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) and Cultural Heritage:  Its Current State and Potential Future at the Cyprus Institute campus in Nicosia, Cyprus. The goal of the workshop was to bring together leading experts on RTI and its uses from across Europe, the United States and the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as cultural heritage scholars who find RTI a valuable research resource. The workshop focused on recent technological advances in the acquisition and use of RTI data and potential future expansions of its capabilities. In view of my recent work on RTI and multispectral imaging, the organizers invited me to participate as presenter and participant at the workshop.  They wanted to discuss my current work with RTI technology and how that work may improve RTI’s research capacities.
