This September I was doing a 3 weeks training on multispectral imaging for the Ecuadorian Instituto Nacional de Patrimonio Cultural in Quito, Ecuador, when I got the news that it was just published on Archeomatica my paper on the use of tablets for multispectral imaging analysis of art work, “Ipad e tablet per l’indagine multispettrale di opera d’arte”
Archeomatica is an interesting online and free magazine on methodologies for art documentation, examination and conservation. It publishes papers and news regarding mostly technologies for imaging, 3D modeling, online dissemination, web tools. Indeed, while there are plenty of journals on analytical methods for art examination, Archeomatica is pretty alone in covering this area.
I wish they would accept in the future also contribution in English! I already posted on the use of tablets for multispectral imaging analysis and I was pleased the idea was endorsed by others, such as in this article “Tablet e indagine multispettrale”. This new paper on Archeomatica is an edited and extended version of the post for the Italian speaking audience.
